LABOR DAY WEEKEND COOL START WITH ONSHORE WINDS
WARMER MORE HUMID SUNDAY HEAT HUMIDITY MONDAY
SHOWER RISK EACH DAY
We actually saw a slight easing of the humidity today as well as the temperatures. We still made it to 90 plus or minus a degree or so of that number. That was about 5 degrees lower than yesterday. We will continue to see a slight easing of humidity and temperatures overnight. We have been setting records for the warmest lows the last few nights with some places not breaking under 80 degrees. That comes to an end tonight with lows in the mid 60s to lower 70s. Other than some arriving clouds we should be rain free overnight.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Friday and Saturday there will be cloud issues with an onshore flow and the risk for passing showers. Much of the time it won’t be raining so if you have outdoor plans, go ahead with them and keep an eye on the satellite and radar. Some areas could see some breaks of sun in the mix as well. Temperatures won’t be out of the 70s both days.
Sunday we see a return of warm humid air with some sunshine and the chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. Again for most it should be fine and much of the time it won’t be an issue. The sun should be out mixed with clouds.
Monday it is back to very warm to hot conditions with some sunshine and the chance for a late thunderstorm. Highs will reach 85 to near 90. Again much of the time it will be fine so go ahead with outdoor plans keeping the radar close by and an eye to the sky.
Labor Day weekend usually finds a tropical storm or hurricane running around somewhere in the Atlantic Basin. We do have a potential tropical cyclone in the Eastern Atlantic that is likely to become a tropical storm over the weekend. We have the latest on this.
MANY THANKS TO TROPICAL TIDBITS FOR THE USE OF MAPS
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
