Weather Slowly Improves Next Several Days Before Heatwave
Keep your eyes on the satellite loop today as we watch dry air from Northern New England gradually push southward. Any clouds that are around this morning should give way to some breaks of sunshine or at least some brightening of skies depending on where you are. The onshore flow continues which will keep temperatures in check but if the sun can even have partial success today, temperatures should reach the 60s to near 70 with the coolest temperatures right along the coast.

Thursday into Friday will see low pressure moving offshore along the East Coast. As long as the track remains ocean bound we should see just a few clouds mainly in Eastern areas on Thursday with more sun to the west. Temperatures Thursday should reach the 70s except again right along the immediate coast. Friday we should be nice and sunny with highs in the 70s to near 80.
The weekend begins the big warm up that some are waiting for and some are dreading. Saturday we should see sunshine and clouds with highs reaching into the 80s. There could be a passing shower or thunderstorm in one or two spots Saturday night as the hot air begins to build in. Starting Sunday we should see highs close to or at 90 in some places. Then Monday Tuesday and Wednesday it will be hot just about everywhere with highs reaching into the 90s each day.
