Heatwave Begins Sunday New York New Jersey Connecticut Pennsylvania Long Island
Temperatures will be trending higher this weekend into next week as a large upper high builds in the Eastern US putting is in heatwave mode. It is amazing that as cool as it is now we are going to flip so radically in the other direction but with the ebbs and lows of deep troughs and strong ridges in the east, this has lead to rather extreme swings. Below are the forecast high temperatures from Saturday through Wednesday. Sunday will be the first day of temperatures around 90 degrees. Monday and Tuesday will be the two hottest days.

As far as humidity is concerned, it should not be too bad on Sunday but it will increase and be very uncomfortable Monday and Tuesday. With respect to any rain there could be a passing shower or thunderstorm in a couple of spots Saturday night as the hot air begins to arrive. Sunday through Tuesday any thunderstorms should be isolated in nature.
