Strong Thunderstorms Moving Across This Evening, Another Hot Day Monday
We have been watching all this daytime heating today and these tropical dew points in the 70s. This has woken up the atmosphere and we are seeing some rather strong thunderstorms that have developed. We have a line of strong thunderstorms moving out of Northeastern Pennsylvania into Northwest New Jersey. We are also seeing other thunderstorms in clusters ahead of this line and some severe thunderstorm warnings and flash flood warnings have already been issued for parts of New Jersey and NYC.

Regional radar shows these thunderstorms coming out of Pennsylvania. There are two separate lines that are showing up and we are seeing them revving up now on the local radars below. It is going to be rough in some areas this evening so keep a watchful eye to the sky. It looks like the atmosphere has come alive this evening but it will die off after sunset.

Monday will be another steamy day with sunshine and highs will reach 90 to 95. It will be another day of dew points into the 70s and thunderstorms will likely fire up again in some areas. Given how busy the radar is this evening it wouldn’t be a shocker to see it fire up again on Monday.
Tuesday brings a cold front late in the day and we will have another steamy day ahead of it with highs into the 90s and high humidity. There is a very good chance for thunderstorms late in the day Tuesday into Tuesday night. Another front approaches Wednesday night and may take all day Thursday to get it through here before real relief arrives.
