Rain Showers Moving Through Overnight
The first of 3 weather systems is moving through this evening and tonight across the Northeast. Showers are loaded up on the radar this evening across much of New York State and Northern Pennsylvania. Much of this rain will probably stay north of Route 78 in New Jersey north and east. The Hudson Valley, Long Island, and Connecticut seem to be getting the bulk of the shower activity as it moves southeastward. The onshore flow dominated today and kept temperatures in the upper 40s to mid 50s. That onshore flow will diminish on Thursday and we should see temperatures heading higher.

Once these showers play through by late tonight, they should be widely scattered around during the day on Thursday. Some highs will reach the 70s in New Jersey…60s north and northeast of there. More showers and possible thunderstorms will move in late Thursday night and Friday morning as a second weather system moves through. Then we should dry out slowly Friday afternoon. Rainfall amounts through Friday should be mostly under half and inch.
The weekend is in question with rain for Sunday but it does not look as impressive as it did a few days ago. A big warm up may come later next week and JOESTRADAMUS has more on this in his latest post.
