Monday Morning Weather Cloudy Rain South
Monday morning weather across our area is not looking all that good this morning. We have a lot of cloud cover over us and to the south. Some rain moved through on the radar overnight and that has now exited to the east. Another band of rain is setting up to our south this morning down in Virginia. It appears that at least for now the weather should be rain free into this afternoon as that southern area of rain loads up and begins to move northeastward.

Judging from some of the shortest range models it looks like Central and Southern New Jersey will see the bulk of this rain later today into tonight and also some areas north of the coast but a gap could show up in between. All of this occurs as low pressure develops along the New Jersey coast.

At least into this afternoon we get a break before the rain starts up again. Temperatures are in the 50s north of the coast this morning and most of the area is sitting in the lower 60s. Temperatures are not likely to do much today with a developing northeast wind that will pick a bit later today and tonight.
Weather conditions will remain unsettled into Thursday with an onshore flow continuing which means cloud issues but as far as rain goes, there may not be much of it after tonight other than some light rain or drizzle..or a few passing showers. Low pressure could inch northward up the coast Wednesday night into Thursday but that is questionable at this point.
