Great Weather Ahead Heat Returns Monday Tuesday Severe Weather Midweek
We have another good looking day ahead with blue skies and sunshine with a dry area of high pressure slowly building into the East. You can thank the persistent trough in the upper atmosphere that is moving only very slowly eastward and weakening to make the process of going to dry and nice to heat and humidity a much longer one. Sunshine today with nothing more than a pop up fair weather cloud or two will send temperatures up into the low and mid 80s. Huimdity levels will remain subdued. This takes us to another night of clear skies with most lows in the 60s and 50s in the cool spots well north and west of the coast. Radars are quiet and will remain so into Monday of next week.

Friday we look forward to sunshine with tempertures a shade higher in the mid to upper 80s. Humidity levels will still remain reasonable. Saturday will be the first day where humidity levels will inch up to where it becomes a little uncomfortable. We will still have sunshine with highs in the 80s to near 90. Sunday will be very warm to borderline hot and more humid with highs in the upper 80s to around or just over 90. The outlook remains straight forward and we don’t see much to change the forecast.
There is a weak system that will move through Sunday night but there won’t be much with it. However what that weak system will do is turn the winds here more to the west for Monday and Tuesday which will likely nudge temperatures up higher. Im thinking highs Monday and Tuesday will be 90 to 95. Now comes another cold front for the middle of next week.
This will be the 4th cold front that will move along in much the same fashion. We will address the severe weather threats when we get into the short range. In the meantime enjoy the wonderful stretch of weather we are in. Dry air masses like this don’t come along in July too often.
