Freezing Rain Advisory Posted
Rain will be moving in sometime Tuesday morning. If (and it’s a bid if) the rain comes in fast enough during the morning hours temperatures in some areas will be below freezing. The National Weather Service has posted a Freezing Rain Advisory for New Jersey (Sussex, Warren, and Western Passaic), the Hudson Valley (Orange, Putnam, Sullivan Counties), Connecticut (Fairfield County north of route 15) and for Northeastern half of Pennsylvania.
Winter Weather Advisory is posted for Connecticut north of route 84 for some snow sleet and freezing rain.
Radar is beginning to show some rain moving into Northwestern Pennsylvania. We will have to see whether that area holds together or not. The main rain area is well to the west.
Local radars are for the most part quiet this evening with just some precipitation aloft showing up. Clouds will be increasing tonight. Most weather models keep the main rain out until late Tuesday morning in which case it should be warm enough for plain rain for most of the area.
