It is another day of heat and humidity and for some areas mainly inland New Jersey and the Hudson Valley away from Long Island Sound, it will be the 6th day in a row of 90 plus. On the other hand shore locations and Long Island stand a good chance of staying under 90 degrees today. The temperatures this morning are lower than they were at this time yesterday and the day before so the launching pad is not nearly as high. Clouds that developed overnight and this morning are the cause of this temperature slowdown.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
The question of thunderstorms will be on the table this afternoon and evening and like yesterday some will develop and some could be strong and potentially severe with heavy rains being the biggest risk. Watch the local radars closely as the storms are likely to appear after noon or 1pm. They should be done by 7 or 8pm in time for any fireworks tonight that usually begin after 9pm.

Wash rinse repeat for Thursday weather wise. Then Friday the cold front that puts an end to all this moves through with widespread shower and thunderstorm activity with temperatures in the 80s. Then the weekend brings a new fresh Canadian air mass.
Low humidity sunshine and reasonable temperatures will be the rule for the weekend. Saturdays highs will be in the 70s to near 80. Sunday’s highs will be 80 to 85. It will be a nice payback from the weather we had this week.
