Thunderstorms continue to develop over various areas in Northern & Central New Jersey and they are not moving which is creating flash flooding. When you look at the radar loops below you can see that the cells are not moving. They are just sitting there and they will basically sit there until they weaken later this evening. In the meantime if you are in the counties under Flash Flood Warnings expect torrential rains and flooding. Remember turn around don’t drown. If you come across a flooded area do not dry through it. There is no way to no how deep the water can be. Many people have lost their lives in such conditions. Several inches of rain or more could fall in a very short period of time.
