100 Degree Highs Today Excessive Heat Humidity
We have an “Excessive Heat Warning” up for much of the area from Southeast Pennsylvania to New Jersey to the Hudson Valley, Southern New England & Long Island. This includes all the urban centers from Philadelphia to NYC. Temperatures will challenge 100 degree highs. Heat Advisory for the surrounding areas where instead of it going to 100 degree highs, it goes to 95. Relief I guess is where you find it and how you see it. I see it in beaches, pools & air conditioners so seek them out. We will have lots of sunshine again today with hardly a cloud in the sky. You know you are going to have a hot day when it is already in the upper 70s to near 80 before 8am.

Satellite loops show hardly any cloudy cover overhead nor are there clouds aiming for us. Radars are clean of any showers or thunderstorms and the upper high that is overhead today prevents even scattered pop ups from happening.
TODAY’S FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
Nothing has changed regarding the week ahead. Instead of 100 degree highs on Monday we will see highs more in the low to mid 90s with 80s along the coast thanks to more of a south wind. This may actually temper highs through most of the week though we should still reach a range of 90 to 95 Tuesday through Friday. We could throw some pop up storms in the mix beginning Wednesday. More numerous storms are likely Friday with the a strong cold front and the some relief next weekend. Stay cool if you can.
