Winter Weather Advisory Ocean County NJ Southward
This clipper low is a snow event for New Jersey in areas mainly south of Route 195. The National Weather Service has put a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Southern New Jersey from Ocean County southward and it is also in effect for much of Delaware and Eastern Maryland. This is for later tonight into Sunday morning. There are no issues regarding snow today through this evening.
We have been fighting so much cloud cover for the last several days and it appears we are going to be doing that again today as we still have a cold moist flow off the Great Lakes plus we have the approaching clipper that is swinging across the Tennessee Valley this morning with a Winter Weather Advisory posted there as well. Satellite loop shows the cloud cover is fairly extensive so expect any sunshine to be limited today.

Radars are continuing to show areas of snow aloft with occasional flurries reaching the ground. This will probably continue throughout the day today and into this evening. Tonight the first clipper will swing east. Most of the snow will be South of Route 195 though some snow showers could reach New York City and Long Island. This is a light event and should not pose any serious problems. I’ve left my snow forecast unchanged.
This will all be done Monday morning and then a second clipper will come in for Tuesday. This one will effect areas further north. This will be another small system that moves through. Some areas could see a coating to an inch or so. Then its dry and colder for the rest of the week. Everything appears on course for a storm threat of some sort for Super Bowl Sunday with details still to follow.
