Weekend Storm Off The Table Showers Overnight Cold Weekend
Weekend Storm Off The Table Showers Overnight Cold Weekend
After looking at the afternoon weather model series it seems safe to say at this point that the weekend coastal low is not going to be coming back westward (famous last words) so we can now focus ahead on the weather at hand which is some showers overnight into Friday morning.
A cold front will be approaching and moving through. Clouds and showers to the west will be heading east and then offshore Saturday morning. By morning temperatures will be down in the 30s.

Radars are showing those showers getting close as they come in from the west. The rain doesn’t look to be especially heavy and it will be just a minor rainfall. Saturday looks mostly cloudy as we will be on the edge of the clouds and low pressure develops along the Carolinas. Once it passes to the east Saturday night we will have leftover clouds giving way to some clearing by Sunday morning. Saturday’s temperatures will be stuck mainly in the 40s.
SUNDAY’S FORECAST HIGHS
Temperatures this time of year should be reaching near 60 on a daily basis. This isn’t going to happen on Sunday. Even 50 is a reach. Most highs will be in the 40s which is going to be anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees below average. At least we will have a fair amount of sunshine. Monday might actually be colder with a cold high to the north and arriving clouds ahead of a weakening area of moisture to the west. Low temperatures Monday morning will be in the 20s over a large area with lower 30s near coastal and urban locations. High Monday just in the low to mid 40s.
MONDAY’S FORECAST LOWS
MONDAY’S FORECAST HIGHS
It seems that snow chances decrease considerably over the next week and there doesn’t appear to be anything around while we still have cold air. The next question is when is it going to get warm or at least back to average. Later next week the pattern is going to shift around a bit and that could allow a warm up at least back to average at the end of next week and next weekend.
