Week Begins Clouds to Sunshine Today Next Cold Front Wednesday
The new week begins with some clouds around this morning along coastal areas from NYC south and east but surrounding that batch of clouds are clear skies especially to the north in Upstate NY & New England. High pressure in the Gulf of Maine will be building back westward which will keep humidity levels low here into Tuesday. Look for no worse than partly sunny skies today and temperatures once again will be kept in check with most high in the low to the 70s with a nice northeast breeze.
SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
There isn’t much on the radars this morning and we don’t expect any shower issues today or Tuesday. Tonight will nice and clear with most lows again in the 50s to lower 60s. Tuesday we will start to see the arrival of high clouds as moisture begins to arrive from the west and south. Highs again will be in the 70s. Humidity will be rising into Wednesday as will temperatures. The next cold front approaches with the chance for showers and thunderstorms late in the day Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds ahead of it. Highs will be back into the 80s.
This front will pass offshore. Low pressure off the Southeast coast could become a tropical depression or tropical storm later today but this system will remain offshore as it moves northeastward over the next few days. High pressure with warm but dry air will come in to finish the week with sunshine Thursday and Friday with highs mostly in the low to mid 80s with nighttime lows mostly in the 60s.
