Warmer More Humid Weekend Cold Front Late Tuesday
Warmer More Humid Weekend Cold Front Late Tuesday
We have arrived to another summer Friday ahead of another summer weekend. Humidity remains relatively low today with plenty of sunshine forecast and highs reaching into the low and middle 80s. It is a pretty straight forward forecast for today. The satellite loop this morning shows some high clouds to the west sinking southward so they aren’t coming here. The northerly flow in the upper atmosphere is keeping things reasonable and it is keeping the hotter and more humid weather to our southwest at least for today. Radars are nice and quiet and there are no rain issues through the daytime Saturday.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Saturday begins a return to warmer and more humid weather and temperatures will start to climb as highs reach the middle and upper 80s with cooler readings along the shore. We should have a good amount of sunshine for most of the day Saturday with clouds only coming in very late in the afternoon or evening.
SATURDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
A weakening cold front will come down from upstate NY Saturday night with a few scattered showers or a thunderstorm possible at some point Saturday night assuming those showers and thunderstorms survive. Then Sunday and Monday bring in some heat and higher humidity with some sunshine both days and highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. with cooler readings along the shore.
SUNDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
MONDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
A scattered thunderstorm can’t be ruled out for either Sunday or Monday but there should not be any widespread activity. That should come late Tuesday with a cold front approaching and a good chance for late day and evening widespread thunderstorms; at least that is the way it looks at the moment. Temperatures on Tuesday with more clouds around will be a little lower in the 80s. Another shot of dry slightly cooler air arrives on Wednesday of next week.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
