Weekend Warmer More Humid Scattered Thunderstorms
Weekend Warmer More Humid Scattered Thunderstorms
We are on our way to another summer weekend where the weather should be good most of the time for outdoor activities. The humidity levels were subdued today with most highs in the low to a few middle 80s. Tonight will be another night of clear skies for the most part with lows in the mid to upper 50s inland to middle 60s in the warmer urban areas and along the shore.
EASTERN SATELLITE
We do see some patchy cloud cover around this evening as we have seen a couple of weak upper air disturbances running around. There even have been a couple of pop up small showers in parts of Coastal New Jersey this afternoon but the radars right now are quiet and should remain so through the day Saturday.
REGIONAL RADAR
Friday will be another day with lots of sunshine and low humidity with highs reaching into the 80s and of course it will be cooler 70s along the shore with an ocean wind. Saturday it starts to turn more humid with sunshine and clouds and temperatures in the 80s.
Saturday night a disturbance drops down from upstate NY and there could be a few thunderstorms moving through overnight. Once that goes by we should go back to sunshine and humid conditions for Sunday. It may be hotter Sunday with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Monday will be a repeat of this with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Then a stronger cold front arrives late Tuesday with clouds and a better chance for thunderstorms with highs in the 80s. Nothing in the pattern suggests anything problematic weather wise and no issues from the tropics which look to be dying down for awhile.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
