Warmer Air Headed East Some Showers Tonight 60s Thursday
Warmer air is beginning to move eastward and we are seeing some high clouds streaming out ahead of a warm front. Not much will be happening today other than what we can describe as veiled sunshine. Temperatures are headed into the low and middle 50s. A few showers will move across Northern Pennsylvania, the Hudson Valley into New England late this afternoon and evening. South of there we will throw in the risk of a shower late today into this evening. Either way it doesn’t look to amount to much.

Intense low pressure will be moving through the upper Midwest tonight bringing what will likely be another round of widespread severe weather and tornado activity. The low will be moving northward and we won’t see much of anything at all from a trailing cold front late Thursday. So ahead of it Thursday we will have some sunshine, a bit of a gusty west southwest wind, and temperatures reaching the 60s in many locations.
Thursday night as that low to the north continues to move through Canada and its trailing cold front will pass through our area during the early morning hours Friday. This will leave us with some sunshine with some leftover warm air from Thursday. Most highs Friday will be in the 50s to lower 60s. The front stalls to the south and low pressure will develop later in the day in Indiana and moves eastward.
There will be some colder air in New England but for the most part we are looking at rain for Saturday into Saturday night. Highs will be in the 40s north of NYC and 50s south and even some 60s across Maryland and Delaware. Weather conditions will improve on Sunday which will be the better of the two weekend days. Some sunshine returns with a gusty wind. Highs will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
