Warm Wednesday Rain Chance Thursday Warm Friday Rain Saturday

Every day that goes by that we don’t have weather issues in the month of March is a good one. We continue to see a rather benign pattern not because we won’t have issues from time to time. Benign in the sense that we have no major storms around to worry about. Today we have our satellite picture showing mainly cloud free skies except to the north in upstate NY and New England. We have a light offshore wind to start the day and it will go light onshore later this afternoon. Sunshine will be with us for most of the day though there are some high clouds to the south that are inching northward. Highs today will reach the upper 60s and lower 70s inland and upper 50s and lower 60s along south and east facing shorelines. There are no issues on the radar.

Moving along we will see clouds increase from south to north tonight as low pressure in the Southeast moves up the coast to east of Delaware on Thursday. From there the low slides out to the east. Some areas will be clipped by some rain on Thursday before the low move out but we don’t see the rain amounting to much. Temperatures Thursday will be mostly in the 50s.

Friday leaves us between weather systems and that puts us in a good place for a nice warm day of sunshine. Highs will reach the 70s inland. It will be a little cooler along coastal sections with south and east facing shorelines. Then as the GFS model loop above shows we have another system coming out of the Southern Plains. That will bring showers our way later Friday night and on Saturday. High Saturday will be in the 60s. Weather conditions should improve Sunday with clouds and some sun. We will leave in the risk for a passing brief scattered shower. Highs Sunday will be in the 50s. Next week starts out dry and we may have to wait until later Wednesday or Thursday before the next round of rain or showers moves in.
