Quiet Weather Continues Rain Chance Thursday 70s Friday Showers Saturday

Our uptrend in temperatures continues today. We have some high clouds moving west to east  across Upstate NY as a weak low moves west to east. We should see no worse than partly sunny skies today from Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. Rain and snow showers from the weak system to the north will pass to our north with no consequence for us. We can see them on the regional radar view. Highs this afternoon will reach into the 60s away from south and east facing shorelines where sea breezes will likely develop and cool things down during the afternoon.

Other than clouds tonight there will be no issues and temperatures won’t be dropping far. Most lows will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s. Wednesday we will see sunshine but the general wind direction will be from the northwest and then to the southeast or south though it will be on the light side. Highs will be in the low and middle 60s inland and in the 50s along south and east facing shorelines.

Low pressure moving across the Gulf  States with turn northward up the coast. It is not a strong system by any means and we will see an area of rain Thursday move northward and then get pushed to the east. We will go for cloudy skies with the chance for some rain especially along the coast and as you head to the south of NYC. The wind off the ocean Thursday will likely keep temperatures in the 50s to at most near 60 in some warmer inland locations.

Friday puts us in between two weather systems with Thursday’s system gone and a new system coming in for Friday night and Saturday. We should squeeze in a warm Friday of sunshine giving way to some clouds arriving later in the day. There is no reason for temperatures not to move up nicely higher and we think highs will reach the upper 60s and lower 70s in many areas with the exception of south and east facing shorelines where the sea breeze will be at work.

Look for showers or a period of rain Friday night and Saturday under cloudy skies. More than likely we will be in the 50s for highs with a wind coming in from off the ocean to an extent. This weather system should move along so that it will be drier for Sunday with some sunshine and highs into the 50s. We don’t see any major issues regarding storms or cold front for the next 10 days or so at least.
