Pinned between a coastal low to the southeast and a cold front to the west we continue to enjoy lots of sunshine this afternoon. Temperatures vary however due to a wind off the ocean along the coast.

Temperatures on Long Island are in the 70s as well as Coastal Connecticut while they increase into the 80s inland and near 90 in Eastern Pennsylvania. Sunshine continues for the rest of the day so temperatures inland will continue to rise though the wind off the ocean continues to hold them back near the coast.

Radars are quiet at the moment and there are no problems through this evening. After midnight a cold front will be approaching and some showers and a few thunderstorms will move in during the early morning hours until daybreak. Once those are done we should see a mix of sun and clouds develop on Tuesday with highs in the 80s. Wednesday looks like a good day with sunshine and highs in the 80s.
Thursday the next system approaches and it now appears it will pass just to our north. This will make things warm and humid with the chance for some showers and thunderstorms. More on this later today. Also we have the latest on Tropical Storm Danielle in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico.
