Warm February Finish
TONIGHT: NOTHING MORE THAN SOME PASSING CLOUDS. MOST LOWS IN THE 40S EXCEPT 30S IN COLD SPOTS
MONDAY: SOME PASSING MORNING SHOWERS WITH LEFTOVER AFTERNOON CLOUDS. HIGHS IN THE 50S.
MONDAY NIGHT: SOME CLEARING OF SKIES WITH LOWS IN THE 30S TO NEAR 40.
TUESDAY: CLOUDS AND SOME SUN AND COOLER WITH MOST HIGHS IN THE 40S.
Today’s beautiful weather with temperatures in the 50s certainly brought the hint of spring into the air. Now as the new week begins we have a few changes ahead of us but it appears that there are no big storms on the horizon through Thursday. We do have 2 cold fronts to contend with. The first one arrives on Monday morning and with it will come a few showers in the morning. Clouds are beginning to move through the Great Lakes and they will be arriving here during tonight. Monday morning look for some passing showers. Temperatures tonight won’t venture very far. It will drop into the 40s but not much lower thanks to the west southwest breeze that will continue into Monday morning. You can see on the loop that there isn’t a lot of moisture with this as the Gulf of Mexico remains cut off as a moisture source.
Warm February Finish SATELLITE LOOP
Right now all the regional and local radars remain very quiet for the most part. I would not expect to see anything show up until the early morning hours to the west.
Warm February Finish RADAR LOOPS
Once the front moves through Monday it will settle to our south and dissipate. The next weather front sets up for Wednesday. Tuesday will be dry and a little cooler but not cold with temperatures in the mid 40s to lower 50s.. Wednesday we will see showers move through with temperatures in the 50s.
Warm February Finish Midweek Showers
Behind that front will be colder air that comes in for the rest of the week as high pressure builds to the north of us. Thursday and Friday we will see some sunshine but there will be a chilly north wind with highs just into the 40s and nighttime lows in the 20s. Weather models including the Euro Model are keeping the system for the end of the week to our south. We will wait a few more runs to see if this is a trend. For now we will forecast it to be dry and chilly into next weekend.
