Euro Model Snow Threat GFS Model Nothing
The overnight Euro model run as well as the overnight Canadian weather model run are in snow threat mode. The GFS is asleep. As we noted in our post last night with regards to the Canadian Weather Model and the GFS Weather model, the Euro model remains the most consistent. It also shows a very dominant southern stream feature which deepens as it lifts northeastward.

The GFS is totally different after Wednesday as it has a weak system that races out offshore with little consequence. This is all going to hinge on the strength of the ridge in the west and whether the system in the east will have enough lift to spread snow northward. The European says yes. The model is further north with every run and lines up pretty well with last nights Canadian weather model

The European snowfall forecast map is very bullish and brings the northern edge of 3 inch snows into the Hudson Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania with the highest amounts along the New Jersey shore to Central and Eastern Long Island.
