Temperatures Moderate Weekend Showers Monday Tuesday
Over the last 6 weeks we have seen only a few days with temperatures above freezing and those days were not exactly the kind of days that would make you want to spend time out doors. Now at least we are seeing temperatures that will be heading above freezing and at least the weather will be tame enough for you to enjoy. Beginning today temperatures moderate as we make a run for the upper 30s to near or just over 40. Some high clouds are moving through as a sign of warmer air moving in aloft but there are no other real issues today or Saturday. Tonight won’t be as cold as temperatures will probably hold in the 20s and 30s. We have no rain forecast for the weekend so the radars will be quiet for awhile.

REGIONAL RADAR
Saturday will be a nice day with some sunshine and highs should reach the upper 40s and lower 50s everywhere.
The only issue will be south facing shore lines where the ocean sea breeze may come into play during the afternoon knocking temperatures down a few degrees or so. Overall however Saturday looks like a nice day to perhaps take down the Christmas decorations outdoors that have up until now been either stuck in snow cover or it was simply too cold to tackle that sort of project. Sunday it will be a shade lower as a weak weather front drops down from the north but highs will still be in the 40s.
Monday we look to the west with a storm heading from the Rockies to the Great Lakes. A warm front to the south will keep us in clouds and the chance for showers will develop with highs in the 40s. Monday night into Tuesday more numerous showers will occur with highs again mostly in the 40s. Once this goes by it is colder and dry but no excessive cold is being indicated as the upper air pattern remains in a relaxed mode. No snow of consequence is on the horizon in the short term.
