Sunny Start to the Weekend, Storm Stays Well South, No Rain Until Next Friday
We are at the weekend and quiet times lie ahead weather wise. On the satellite view this morning you see lots of clouds off the Southeast US coast extending back westward across Florida into the Gulf of Mexico. Strong low pressure is produce gales and storm force winds along and off the coastlines of the Southeast and the east coast of Florida along with heavy rains. This is a non tropical storm but it is creating a ton of coastallo floodin from the coastal Carolinas southward to Florida. This storm is not coming here but will likely meander off the coast for days. In the meantime we are in a good spot today as skies are clear and we should enjoy plenty of sunshine. After a frosty start, highs will be in the low to mid 50s. There are no radar issues whatsoever.

We will proceed to a cold night with frost again inland where temperatures will be in the 20s away from warmer urban settings and the immediate coast and 30s to around 40 warmer urban locations. Other than perhaps a few high clouds, Sunday should be a nice day with sunshine taking highs to the mid and upper 50s.
The week ahead is easy through Thursday. High pressure will be overhead. We have a weak cold front that moves through late Tuesday with no important weather with it. This leaves us in a nice place with sunshine Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and possibly Thursday. Daytime highs will be in the low to middle 60s. The next weather system arrives on Friday in the form of a cold front and we could see showers and perhaps a couple of thunderstorms as it goes by Friday into Friday night. A second wave could bring another round of rain Saturday though that part of the deal is questionable at the moment. Enjoy the nice weather this weekend and next week before things get tougher longer term.
