Strong Gusty Winds Diminsh Summer Approaching
What is obvious on the satellite loop this evening is the strong storm sitting just south of Nova Scotia and slowly inching to the east. Winds have been strong and gusty all afternoon and they continue to gust to 40 mph this evening in some areas but they will be dropping off somewhat overnight. The low to the east is the only thing that stands in the way of summer-like air that is headed our way for Wednesday through Friday.

From the standpoint of weather, there are no issues regarding showers or thunderstorms until late this week and probably not until Friday when the next cold front moves through. Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 70s on Tuesday. Wednesday many areas will see mid to upper 80s, and Thursday we will see upper 80s to lower 90s and there could be some record highs set. Friday it may still be in the 80s before cooler air comes in late Friday and for the weekend.

The weather front that comes through Friday will eventually stall to the south and the weekend will be one with an onshore flow and the chance for rain or showers especially on Sunday.
