Summer Weather Arrives Wednesday
We are still completely on course to have 2 days of summer weather here beginning on Wednesday and peaking on Thursday. Friday could actually still be a bit on the warm side before cooler air takes over for the weekend. Also this is a quick shot of summertime only last these few days before a cooler pattern takes hold. In fact much of next week looks like nothing more than average to perhaps a little below at times depending on cloud cover and wind direction.
Meanwhile this morning we are seeing the weekend storm that brought our rain stalled temporarily in the Gulf of Maine. This has brought some cloud cover back southward to about NYC & Northern New Jersey/Eastern Pennsylvania and those clouds are moving southward. Also some showers on the radar to the east in Eastern Connecticut and Eastern Long Island are moving southward as well. The storm is a well defined gale center that will begin to pull away soon and once it does it will take the clouds out with it. I don’t think there will be any shower issues for areas west and north of the coast today. Also it is rather breezy especially as you go east along Coastal Connecticut and Long Island as well as the coastal waters and that will continue today.

Moving on to the rest of today some sun should break through the clouds with temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Then temperatures trend higher the next 3 days with 70s Tuesday, 80s to near 90 Wednesday and upper 80s and lower 90s on Thursday!

After Thursday it will trend cooler though Friday could still be on the warm side depending on the timing of the next cold front. Some showers and thunderstorms are possible when the front passes Thursday night but it should not be anything widespread. Then it will turn cooler over the weekend and there is the chance for some showers especially on Sunday as another front approaches.
