Storm Slowly Pulling Away
Weather conditions continue to slowly improve across the area but it has been a slow process. Yesterday’s storm is now up in Eastern Canada but its large circulation extends all the way back into the lower Tennessee Valley. The satellite loop shows this pretty well. The storm should pull away far enough north tonight so that all sprinkles and snow showers disappear and skies at least go partially clear inland areas and mostly clear right along the coast. The busy wind will keep temperatures overnight relatively uniform with lows in the mid to upper 20s inland and low 30s along the coast and near warmer urban locations.

You can see the activity on the local radar is mostly in the light side. Much of this is probably not even reaching the ground. Some colder air is coming into Northern and Northwestern areas and that is probably producing a few snow showers in the mix. These echos will begin to diminish and disappear over the next few hours.

Moving ahead to Friday and Saturday both days should be no worse than partly sunny with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Then on Sunday we will see some sunshine and milder temperatures as we head into the 50s everywhere. These forecast highs might be underdone by a few degrees and I would not be surprised to see 60 in some areas in Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennslyvania.
SUNDAY HIGH TEMPERATURES
The next weather front arrives on Monday with not much precipitation. We still could see some leftover 50s on Monday before it turns a little cooler on Tuesday. Euro models and the GFS model both show another storm system for the midwest and northeast for Wednesday but right now there is a little uncertainty regarding how it call comes together.
It looks like a weaker repeat of what just occurred. There is some weak blocking that is developing however right now we are skeptical of any impact to the track. So for now we think showers and 50s are likely Wednesday.
