Spring Blocking Sweetspot Upper Air For the Weekend Euro Model & GFS Model
Both the Euro model & the GFS model are lined up the same way. A large upper air high or ridge will be in the eastern United States from Friday right through Sunday before it begins to weaken on Monday. The result will be a shift in the surface high from New England to the Middle Atlantic states. That means that it stays cool through Friday and then things start to warm up this weekend. We should see a fair amount of sunshine right through the period with just occasional patchy clouds moving through. Night’s will be cool as will the days through Friday. Once the northeast wind turns and gradually becomes more westerly over the weekend, temperatures will begin to turn higher.

Here are the forecast highs for Saturday Sunday and Monday. We go from 60s Saturday to 70s Sunday to mid and even upper 70s on Monday. Monday will be very warm just ahead of a backdoor cold front that will come through late in the day with a shot of chilly air behind it for next Tuesday.
No major storms are on the horizon. We seem to be settling in for some calm nice spring weather after all the recent turbulence.
