Snow Forecast Northeast Monday
We have the snow forecast maps up and updated for the Northeast & Middle Atlantic States all updated. For the areas from Central New Jersey, Eastern & Northeastern Pennsylvania, Long Island Hudson Valley and Southern New England this remains a light event with no more than a coating to an inch or so in most places. This should not pose a problem for the Monday morning commute though I’m sure people will see a few flakes of snow around and take it as license to drive like maniacs regardless. Nonetheless this is a very minor event.
The NAM advises caution for Tuesday as it is showing a colder look. This could mean some accumulating snows are possible on the front end and in areas north and west of the coast, the latest NAM model run suggests forecasters need to exercise caution. The NAM model has had a hot hand lately. However it should be noted that other models are not nearly as bullish with either snow or precipitation amounts. The GFS holds off precipitation until later Tuesday so the key will be the speed.
