Showers Overnight Into Tuesday Morning Some Sun Follows PM
We managed somehow to squeeze in a dry day with some sunshine in spite of high clouds that started coming in as well as a south southeast wind from off the ocean to cool temperatures down somewhat. Now we wait for a weak warm front coming up from the south and a cold front that swings in from the Ohio Valley. We will see showers overnight mostly between 11pm and 5am and the showers should be mostly done by the time the morning commute gets underway on Tuesday. Temperatures overnight will settle in the mid 40s to low 50s which is a whole lot warmer than we were this morning.
SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Radars are starting to pick up showers from a developing warm front this evening in Upstate NY. Please note that the National Weather Service radars seem to be experiencing some data issues this evening and the radars many not be showing the full extent of the showers.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
After the showers move out tomorrow morning we should see clouds give way to some breaks of sunshine by the afternoon and this should take temperatures up to the 60s to near 70 especially if we get enough sunshine. Best chances for that will inland west and north of the coast. Clouds might linger a bit over Southern New England and Long Island.
We didn’t notice any big changes going forward. Wednesday it will be an onshore flow, developing clouds everywhere and temperatures that won’t get out of the 50s. Some showers will come through later Wednesday night into Thursday morning followed by some sunshine. Thursday could be a day where if we get enough sun we could see highs reach the 70s to near 80 across New Jersey and 60s to near 70 along the coast. However bear in mind the onshore flow will be building in again and this forecast for Thursday right now is a bit tenuous.
Friday it could be back to an onshore flow and the chance for showers that could linger into Saturday. It is hard to see when we could get out of this pattern. Perhaps we could catch a break for a couple of days Sunday and Monday of next week.
