Latest satellite pics and loops show clouds and passing showers going by this morning. Downpours seem to be weakening as they move east. We have a cold front dying overhead this morning. This is going to be one of those days with lots of clouds but if things move along some dry air could come in this afternoon and produce a few breaks of sun in some areas. Temperatures will have a tough time today but should make it back into the 70s. Below are real time live radars and you can refresh them at anytime to make sure you have the latest images.
I don’t forsee any issues tonight or Saturday other than clouds. Saturday to me looks partly sunny for the most part with highs in the 70s to near 80. However Sunday is shaping up to be a rather storm day with some rain ahead of a warm front and then the possibility for severe weather later Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
Severe Weather Risk Sunday Storm Prediction Center Outlook
It isn’t too often you see enhanced risk forecast 2 days out but indeed the Storm Prediction Center has enhanced risk throughout much of the Middle Atlantic States with slight risk into New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania to about New York City with a marginal risk for Long Island and the Hudson Valley. Much will depend ultimately on where the warm sector sets up. The dynamics aloft are very impressive with a strong upper air jet stream and trough. We will have to watch this one closely. The Storm Prediction Center is indicated the possibility of supercells developing in the area of enhanced risk.
