Saturday Clouds Chance For Showers Nicer Sunday Warmer Next Week

We still have some work today thanks to an upper trough that is crawling east into the Northeast today and tonight. We have another day with a cold unstable air mass over head and that will mean clouds an the chance for some showers. We can see the clouds on the satellite and showers on the radar. The daytime heating into a cold unstable air mass creates an environment for showers and the occasional low top thunderstorms. Temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Tonight we will have leftover clouds around after showers die off this evening. Lows will be in the 30s to around 40. Sunday we should see more sunshine and fewer clouds as the upper trough moves offshore early in the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s.

Monday we see high pressure move off the South Atlantic coast which will keep us dry. Look for sunshine Monday perhaps giving way to some late day high clouds. We have a warm front moving from west to east across the Great Lakes and northeast. There might be a shower when that front goes by Monday night. Monday daytime highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Tuesday takes us in to the 70s with some sunshine retuning and a west wind. Wednesday and Thursday will be on the warm side with highs in the upper 60s to middle 70s. Wednesday will be dry but Thursday we could see showers and thunderstorms late in the day as a cold front approaches and moves through. We might have set up for a marginal severe weather threat Thursday thanks to an upper trough moving through the Great Lakes. We will look closer at this possibility on Monday.
