Record Highs & Prospects In The Tropics

Tuesday will be day 2 of a 3 day stretch of record or near record highs. We saw a few records set Monday where the data sets were small. Highs made the upper 70s to lower 80s. Tuesday and Wednesday we will see sunshine and widespread records with highs both days in the low to mid 80s.

RECORD HIGHS FORECAST WEDNESDAY

wednesday

The satellite loop shows some clouds along the Canadian border but it is dry and clear over us and to the south. The satellite reflects the strength of the upper ridge in the Eastern US which is suppressing even the development of clouds. Radars are quiet and should remain so into Thursday.

In the tropics we continue to watch disturbed weather east of the Bahamas. Weather models all develop low pressure there and move it northwestward. It will either be subtropical in nature or tropical. We will have to watch to see how it evolves. The National Hurricane Center has it now at a 60 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone. While there is a low center there the showers are widespread and disorganized. We will have to wait and see if a tight low level circulation begins to develop over the next few days as it moves north or northwest.

Ultimately if this system develops it will probably move up the east coast offshore and be absorbed by a cold front and low pressure that will be approaching us Friday and Friday night. However we need to watch models closely with this. Either way behind the front it is going to get quite chilly this weekend. JOESTRADAMUS has more on a very interesting long range outlook.

Don’t be without Meteorologist Joe Cioffi’s weather app. It is really a meteorologist app because you get my forecasts and my analysis and not some automated computer generated forecast based on the GFS model. This is why your app forecast changes every 6 hours. It is model driven with no human input at all. It gives you an icon, a temperature and no insight whatsoever.

It is a complete weather app to suit your forecast needs. All the weather information you need is right on your phone. Android or I-phone, use it to keep track of all the latest weather information and forecasts. This weather app is also free of advertising so you don’t have to worry about security issues with your device. An accurate forecast and no worries that your device is being compromised.

Use it in conjunction with my website and my facebook and twitter and you have complete weather coverage of all the latest weather and the long range outlook. The website has been redone and upgraded. Its easy to use and everything is archived so you can see how well Joe does or doesn’t do when it comes to forecasts and outlooks.

Just click on the google play button or the apple store button on the sidebar for my app which is on My Weather Concierge. Download the app for free. Subscribe to my forecasts on an ad free environment for just 99 cents a month.
