Record Highs In The 80s Today & Wednesday
We begin the day with lots of sunshine and a good launching pad as temperatures didn’t fall much below the mid 50s to low 60s overnight so we will be hitting the 80s later this morning and setting record highs all across the area from Southeastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. Even coastal areas are likely to reach the 80s before any seabreeze develops.
No rain is in the forecast for today or Wednesday. We will do this all over again on Wednesday with highs in the low to middle 80s with another round of records. It should also be the last day of records as clouds come in for Thursday as a warm front sets up overhead and well ahead of the next cold front. There could be some showers in the mix as well.
Friday we see a strong cold front and a developing low along with a possible subtropical or tropical storm offshore to the southeast. However at the moment it seems that the development of a storm system just to our east will overpower and absorb any tropical system. Here is the latest on that along with model analysis.
