Rain Tonight Before Weather Improves
We are seeing some sunshine to start the day in some areas but there are clouds and some showers from Central New Jersey southward this morning. This is the strong upper low beginning to finally make its way northward and then northeastward. We will have one more round of showers to work through for tonight into Tuesday morning before this is finally all done. For today watch for some passing showers otherwise we will have sunshine and some clouds. More clouds will probably move on the scene later this afternoon and evening from south to north.
As we pointed out, radars are a little busier south and west this morning. We will start to see other areas fill in this evening. Then some rain tonight develops as low pressure moves up the coast. No big deal here really. Just some showers or a period of rain. Below is the HRRR forecast radar for this evening. Not much is happening but you can see the beginnings of rain tonight offshore that will back westward overnight.

Best chances for this will be from New York City east though some showers will occur west of there as well. Temperatures today will reach the 70s. Lows tonight will be in the 50s to near 60.
Once the rain is done weather conditions will improve on Tuesday with some sun developing in the afternoon. Highs will reach into the 70s. The rest of the week looks good with sunshine. Average highs will be in the mid 70s to some lower 80s Wednesday through Friday.
