Memorial Day Weekend Promising
The strong upper air storm over the east remains in place and you can see on the loops how the clouds and showers are rotating around it. Showers right now are concentrated south and west of our area from South Central Pennsylvania southward. This is the upper low at work. Weather models are developing a surface low off the coast that will move northward Monday night into Tuesday spreading rain back to coastal areas. Once this is done, weather conditions will improve from Wednesday on.

Local radars show the rain showers concentrated southwest of the area and generally moving west southwest while offshore showers are moving northeast. We are close enough to all this that we will leave the chance for a passing shower through Monday in northern areas from Central New Jersey northeastward to Southern New England. Areas to the south like Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania will see a greater shower threat.
