Rain Moving Northward 1-2 Inches Likely Through Tonight
Looking at the satellite loop this morning everything appears on course with light overnight rains now moving northward with a break and then another flare up of heavy rain to the south and southeast. There is a lot of tropical moisture on the satellite loop to the east and as the upper air storm spins northward through the Carolinas, that tropical moisture will start to feed in around midday. Whoever gets inside that band is going to get into some heavy rain.

Radars are taking a break for the morning commute but this will definitely not be the case for the trip home as it should be raining at a pretty good clip in most areas beginning around lunch time through midnight.

Temperatures today will be going nowhere in the 50s with a wind off the ocean. It might get a bit breezy right along the immediate coast. Then weather conditions should begin to improve on Wednesday with leftover clouds and some breaks of sun with temperatures back into the 60s to near 70. Thursday looks nice and warm with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
