Rain Moving Eastward No Icing Expected
We see rain moving in on the radar this morning from the west but on the surface map this morning most temperatures are above freezing. Even inland spots well north and west of the coast where advisories are posted we see temperatures 32 or above. Given this I think there will be no icing for most of the area and the Freezing rain advisory will likely be coming down in short order.
This weather system is moving right along as the satellite loop indicates. Radars should be loading up and rain will be developing here as we move through the midday hours and continue into the evening commute. Rainfall amounts will be on the order of a quarter to three quarters of an inch with the highest amounts as you go north.
Rain will be moving out overnight however on Wednesday we will probably have lingering clouds with some light rain or drizzle still around. Temperatures will be in the 40s for a majority of the time over the next few days. More opportunities for rain lie late this week and early next week. There is no cold air around so snow is not going to be an issue anytime soon.
