Rain Ending Warm Tuesday Cooler Midweek
Rain Ending Warm Tuesday Cooler Midweek
The remnants of Nate are moving right along on schedule and the heaviest rains stayed west and north of our area as advertised. Now we are seeing the back edge of the rain moving east and it will be ending from west to east in the next few hours if it hasn’t ended already. The we get set set for a dry very warm day coming on Tuesday. There is no real cool push behind this at least intially so once we get rid of the clouds tonight, Tuesday we will see sunshine and very warm temperatures with highs reaching the 80s though the humidity at least will be reasonable.

REGIONAL RADAR
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Rainfall amounts were minimal really and didn’t cause any issues. This is the first time in nearly 6 weeks where we have seen a general rainfall where everyone got something as the pattern has been so exceptionally dry.
GFS FORECAST WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY CLICK TO ANIMATE
Wednesday, Thursday & probably Friday and onshore flow will dominate which will keep things cooler thanks to an ocean wind and lots of clouds. A weak disturbance could trigger off a few showers or some light rain late Wednsday into early Thursday but this is not going to amount to much. Then warm weather returns for Saturday and possibly Sunday before a more important cool down comes next week.
SNOW FORECAST THROUGH TUESDAY
For those of you looking for cold weather the Rockies and much of the Northwest has been the place to be. Snow is falling today across Colorado and there have been several snowfalls already in parts of the Northern Rockies thanks to the deep trough in the west. We have been on the opposite end of this with the big upper high in the East. At least through the rest of the week there isn’t going to be any change in this regime.
