Rain Arrives Late Tuesday Continues Wednesday
After 4 consecutive days of beautiful weather it is now time to say goodbye to the sunshine and hello to low pressure now moving across the Eastern Gulf States and about to make the turn up the Eastern Seaboard. High clouds are beginning to move up from the south and we will see the those clouds gradually take over. Temperatures overnight won’t fall much except where skies stay clear for while. By morning most places will be in the 40s.
US SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
We are beginning to see rain from this system move into North Carolina and Western Virginia. The rain will only get so far north overnight and Tuesday morning as high pressure moving offshore holds the moisture off. For now the local radars will remain quiet.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Rain should take over Tuesday night and we should see rain most of Wednesday. Though this should not be an intense rainfall, some areas will see an inch or two in Western New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania with about half as much to the east along the coast.
GFS RAINFALL FORECAST
Clearing from this system will be slow on Thursday with lots of leftover clouds. There is more energy coming in from the west that may mean another round of rain or showers late Friday into early Saturday.
