We have a slew of warnings up with the biggest issue being coastal flooding and the winds early Saturday morning. Winds will gust to 50 to 60 mph in coastal New Jersey east of the Garden State Parkway late tonight into Saturday morning. Winds will begin to subside slowly as the day wears on. Wind advisories are up for Northeastern NJ from Middlesex to Bergen Counties where winds could gust to 40 mph at times.

noreaster conditions

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with local amounts to 3 inches possible so for this we have Flash Flood Watches up for Northeastern NJ.  Thunderstorms are possible tomorrow morning around daybreak so amounts could be locally higher.

Rain is continuing to advance across Virginia and rains will be arriving in Southern New Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania early this evening and then arrive in Northern New Jersey between 8pm and 10 pm from south to north. The heaviest rains will be overnight into tomorrow morning. Thunderstorms may develop and move through around daybreak and look for some higher gusts of wind should they materialize.

The peak of the storm will be during 4am & 8am in New Jersey as the NAM model shows. There is a large area of heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms which show up in the yellow and red on the map. Shortly after 8am the heaviest rain, thunderstorms and wind will shift to the east and weather conditions will improve somewhat though there could still be some rain around into the afternoon.

The low will move north of us Saturday night and weather conditions will improve so that Sunday at least will be rain free though there will be clouds around. There also should be some brightening of skies and perhaps a few breaks of sun. Another weaker system arrives with some showers late Sunday night into Monday morning and then we should dry out during the afternoon Monday.

There will be additional coverage on the Noreaster tonight and Saturday on the Patreon Platform
