Some Showers Sunday Monday

A very warm Friday has come to a close and now we look ahead to the 3 day weekend. Saturday is your hot day and your beach day with some sunshine and temperatures in the 80s to near 90 degrees. There will be cooling sea breezes during the afternoon along the immediate coast. Tonight’s satellite loop shows just a few patchy clouds around and there could be some fog developing overnight along coastal areas and in few inland valleys. Temperatures will bottom in the 60s in most places with 50s in the coolest spots.

Late Saturday into Saturday night we have a cold front approaching and moving through. The front drops down from upstate NY and some downpours and a few thunderstorms could develop. Not everyone will see them so it is a bit of a dice roll as far as who gets rain Saturday evening.

NAM FORECAST SATURDAY MAY 26, 2018 9PM

Memorial Day Weekend Hot Saturday Cooler Cloudy Some Showers Sunday Monday

Sunday we will see lots of clouds and there could be some passing showers later in the day into Sunday evening. Temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Saturday thanks to the cloud cover and the wind from off the ocean. Temperatures could still reach the 80s in South Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania while the Hudson Valley Connecticut & Long Island will not get out of the 60s.

SUNDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES

MONDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES

Monday Memorial Day sees more of the same with clouds and the chance for passing showers with a similar temperature profile. Much of the time this weekend it will be rainfree and we would certainly not characterize this as a washout by any means.

Subtropical Storm Alberto is pointing toward the Gulf Coast later Sunday & Monday. JOESTRADAMUS has more on this and the latest outlook on Alberto’s possible track.
