Major Storm Departs Weather Conditions Improve
Yesterday’s major storm which dumped up to 1/2 a foot of rain in some places and produced a widespread 2 to 5 inch rainfall and very strong winds last night, is now moving away to the north into Southeastern Canada. We are still experiencing gusty winds on the back side of the storm but sky conditions should finally improve his afternoon with some sunshine breaking out. Cold air came in on the backside and we woke up to temperatures in the 40s. We should hover in the 50s all day today and then drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s tonight. Winds will remain rather gusty for the remainder of the afternoon and then slowly diminish tonight.
