Low Humidity Sunshine Into Saturday More Humid Sunday No Major Weather Issues Ahead

We are in a better place for the next 3 days (including today). The dew points have dropped into the 50s. We do have some sunshine. The smoky air from the wild fires has not completely disappeared thanks to the northwest flow in the upper atmosphere but it is a bit better. There are no issues for the next 3 days as this dry high pressure cell takes its time moving east and doesn’t move offshore until Saturday. We should see partly to mostly sunny skies today with most highs in the low to mid 80s. Radars are nice and quiet.

Skies tonight will be mostly clear. Temperatures will bottom in the 60s along the coast and warmer urban areas with 50s inland. Friday looks nice with sunshine and a few clouds with low humidity continuing. A weak upper trough will re-enforce the dry air so we can hold on to it through Saturday. Highs Friday will be in the low to mid 80s.

Over the weekend we will be transitioning into a warmer and more humid air mass. Saturday however will still be reasonably comfortable with sunshine and some arriving high clouds later in the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. There could be a few showers or a thunderstorm overnight into early Sunday morning as a warm front goes by.

After that Sunday will be partly sunny very warm and humid with the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 80s to near 90 degrees. Overall it will be a decent weekend with just a short interruption with showers while you sleep Saturday night and a late boomer on Sunday. Cold fronts next week will pass on Monday and again Thursday but much of the time temperatures will be seasonal which is warm 80s. Humidity levels will drop behind each frontal passage so we will get periods where the humidity will be reasonable. No major rain events are forecast.
