Large High Pressing South Cooler Air Arriving
We are watching the interaction with a large high building from the Great Lakes into Southeastern Canada and a weakening low coming out of the Ohio Valley. Clouds have been struggling to increase and thicken up in some areas to day especially to the north. The atmosphere has saturated some across Pennsylvania where there is an area of rain on the radar moving east. While that area is going to weaken somewhat, some of the rain will survive as it moves over us this evening and tonight. Temperatures will head south once the rain gets underway and we should be in the mid to upper 50s by morning.

Thursday dry air from the high to the north will begin pushing southward and this could cause skies to at least partially clear out across the Hudson Valley Connecticut & Long Island and eventually that dry air will work its way southward into Central & Southern New Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania. Temperatures Thursday will be in the 60s across the area.
GFS FORECAST THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING

Friday is a tricky day as the onshore flow remains with the high to the north. Some low clouds will try and come back. A weak wave to the south will probably cause some areas of patchy rain to develop later Friday and Friday night and lasting into early Saturday. However by Saturday afternoon the onshore flow disappears and we dry out with some breaks of sun developing and temperatures in the 70s. Sunday will be very warm with sunshine and highs back into the 80s. This warmth will be short lived as another cold front arrives on Monday.
