Lake Effect Snow Machine Running
With the arrival of cold air over the next few days and low pressure in Eastern Canada, the lake effect snow machine will be turned on producing 1 foot plus snow in some areas. One of these days I am going to go upstate during one of these lake effect snow events and see what it is really like! Northeastern and Southwestern NY seem to be the most favored areas this time around. Lake effect snows will likely continue into Saturday before diminishing as the day wears on. Given the weather pattern in the coming 2 weeks and several cold air masses coming down from Canada, we are likely to see more lake effect snow events. Some Ski areas in Western and Northern New England could pick up some snow as well along with parts of Central and Western Pennsylvania.
