After what was a beautiful Sunday, we will see a very nice Monday ahead with plenty of sunshine. The satellite loop this morning is basically dry with nothing more than a few patchy clouds to the west and north. The only complication today will be a weather front coming through late this afternoon that could produce a scattered thunderstorm. The Storm Prediction Center is indicating a marginal risk of severe weather today. The main function of this weather front is to bring in a reinforcing surge of dry air for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures today will be in the 80s to near 90 in a few spots.

Once the front moves offshore, skies clear tonight with lows in the mid 60s to lower 70s. Then we have a beautiful Tuesday with lots of sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the 80s. Tuesday night will be mostly clear and pleasant for any fireworks displays. We will extend dry air and sunshine into Wednesday with highs again just in the 80s.
The weather pattern long range shows not prolonged hot weather in sight other than the odd hot day here and there. There will be an increasing chance for showers late this weekend and this weekend as a series of weather systems come in from the west. We will look at this closer later today.
