Once inland attention shifts to Georgia and the Carolinas where tropical storm warnings have been extended northward up the coast. Michael will weekend while inland but it will be close enough to the coast and moving fast enough where the weakening will be slow. The big threat here is heavy rains of 4 to 6 inches and flash flooding is likely given the very low threshold for flooding.
