Humidity Set To Drop Tonight & Sunday
Humidity Set To Drop Tonight & Sunday
The cold front is through but we are waiting for the dry line to push by and bring a drop in the humidity which is still on the high side this morning. At least we have some sunshine and it will be a very warm and humid day though the humidity may start to ease a bit this afternoon. Temperatures today will be in the 80s and there the very small chance for a spot shower or a thunderstorm though for the vast majority of you it is not an issue and even if it is it will be for a short period of time.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Radars for now are quiet and for the most part should remain so through Monday. Other than a spot shower or thunderstorm that could rev up in a few spots, they will rev down almost as quickly.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Skies are going to clear out nicely tonight with lows in the 60s and 50s likely in many spots inland. Sunday looks like a great day with lots of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures into the 80s with dew points dropping into the 50s.
SUNDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
Monday still looks good with a mix of sun and clouds. The humidity is going to start to nudge higher on Monday. Tuesday will be very warm and humid and we will start having to introduce the chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms beginning late Tuesday or Tuesday night and lasting through the rest of next week. Highs each day will be in the mid to upper 80s and nighttime lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. July ends and August begins! Average summer weather continues.
As far as last night’s round of severe weather and heavy rains here are some reports from the National Weather Service in Upton which covers Northeast New Jersey, NYC, Long Island, the lower Hudson Valley & Southern Connecticut. We are still waiting to hear from Mount Holly regarding New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania numbers.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
