Heavy Rains Flash Flooding 6 Inches Plus Rainfalls New Jersey
Tonight’s severe weather certainly lived up to the billing it got earlier today. Some areas of Northeastern New Jersey got clobbered with 6 to 8 inches of rain over parts of Northeastern Middlesex, Hudson, & Union Counties. From Northeast Pennsylvania to parts of the Hudson Valley north of Route 84 bands of 3.5 to 5 inches of rain fell. Flash flooding continues tonight as the thunderstorms continue in some areas though the thunderstorms seem to have peaked in intensity and they should start to weaken as we head to the early morning hours.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
In New Jersey the flash flood warnings that have been up all evening for parts of Hudson Union & Middlesex Counties could be extended for awhile longer until the last of the rain moves out from the west and the overall area weakens.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
It all goes away for the weekend thankfully. There still might be some clouds in the mix on Saturday with moderate humidity. Im leaving showers out of the forecast for now. Sunday looks nice and dry with sunshine. Highs both days in the 80s. The nice weather should hold into Monday before the humidity starts to come back on Tuesday.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
